Elegant Seduction

Long Goodnight Kiss
Long Goodnight Kiss

Shadowed secrets

roam sidewalks… questioning.

Begging permission… forbidden fruit…

Yes or no? Enticed seduction

tastes the whispers of your lips.

Curves shimmer, flames in darkness. Embarrass innocence…

Beguiling wiles backfire, missed the long goodnight kiss.

Lady in red seduces, but still holds herself elegant.

Lone Journey

Inspiration Lane on

We travel this world in constant search of ourselves.

Overturning leaves of personality mimicked from ancestry and childhood tales.

We seek the absolute.  Distinct and separate from others’ “learned” truths.

But there are no absolutes.

If there were, would there be individuality?  Or just supremacy?

But supremacy is just another word for hate and there is no absolute in Fate.

So we continue our journey.  A path with hidden twists, dead ends, and maddening heights and lows.

Trees speak of religion, wind whispers of sexuality, and I swear the animals each have a personality of their own.

Sometimes accompanied by family, but always alone.  New-found answers replace old ones on the shelf.

I still travel this world in constant search of myself.

Beauty Evolved

I Am Beautiful by Arto-Fao-Chao

Revolution in evolution

deemed us worthy.

Only the strong survive.

Revolution in attribution

deemed us curvy.

Beauty constantly redefined.

Kiss of Motherhood

Little Kiss by sologratia

She blew me a kiss

and I couldn’t help but stare

at the child in the white bonnet,

with the golden blond hair.

She fit the usual description:

“the cutest little thing”,

except for one irregularity:

her eyes were emerald green.

Now I’ve seen eyes before,

but never such as that!

They read the book of my soul,

discerning fiction from fact.

I’d have given anything I promised,

fulfilled any feasible task.

At that very moment,

all the child need do was ask.

I had an awful urge

to follow wherever she’d lead.

To protect her with my life

and keep her from every misdeed.

How foolish was I to underestimate

the power of such innocence?

I was the one she was protecting,

leading me to all that a Mother is.

Because of her, I was ready.

Motherhood came as no surprise.

I was taught a mother’s love

by the child with the rare green eyes.

Wisdom Circumspect

King Solomon was the wise one

and there have been none since.

At least not at his level

Just those of us struggling,

for one iota above this nonsense

and consequence.

They say experience teaches us.

They say “trouble brings experience,

and experience brings wisdom.”

Does that not make me wise?

Do I get the prize?

Where is my evidence ?

Is my doubt evident?

Forgive me if I don’t believe.

All I asked for was honesty

and I can’t get that.

No disrespect intended.

I’ll give respect where it’s due.

When actions follow your words

I’ll doff my hat to you.

Flames burned within us that night,

Setting ablaze anything in our path

Consumed, I thought it would burn forever.

Bright, glorious flames…

Yet furnaces left to burn can only turn

To glowing embers and their light can only dim.

Naive to think we’d set the world on fire.

Smoldering, blackened ashes…

Still the smoke continues to choke.

The heat sears my flesh and I keep returning,

Like a moth to uncertainty.

Fragile, unstable dust…

Inactive, but held captive,

To the promises of what was and could be.

Refusing to extinguish and still holding on.

Answer me, yes or no?  Just answer! Don’t leave me!

Broken… wanting… wind…

Tears Write This Story

Tears write this story left unspoken.

My heart won’t let me utter the words.

For I could not believe the damage done

To one,

Once innocent.

I thought I left you so you could benefit,

From love from life.

All the things I was running from

And I never realized

You thought I was running from you.

Years have passed, times have changed

And yet we are stuck

In limbo, searching, seeking…

For what?

Tears lay between us.

A wall erected for protection

From a world that kept us fighting.

Too blind to see that the wall

Is me and we are fighting ourselves.

Better yet each other, for you

Are a portion of me. The me I

Was running from and didn’t know it.

Loved you too much to stay. Somehow

Hurt wouldn’t let me show it.

Too blind, too much time

And yet the words are not here to explain.

I’m still lost but no longer running.

Will things ever be the same?

Little sister, the sigh escapes my lips

And I pause.

Wait, they say time heals all wounds.

Maybe it’s too soon.

I find myself rambling. Tears write the

Story and they won’t cease.

They speak of times past and a

Possible future.

Three sisters ripped apart,

Still trying to find their way back

To life,

To love,

To each other.

Past that wall erected by me.

I was blind now I see.

I find myself rambling,

Words my heart won’t let me speak.

So many tears, let them write my story

For me.
